THE STORY BEHIND THE BRAND
The Melges 24 has been one of the most competitive one-design keelboat classes in the world for over thirty years. It races at clubs across North America, Europe, Australia, and beyond. It draws serious sailors, builds tight communities, and produces some of the most exciting racing in the one-design keelboat world.
And for most of its history, almost none of that has been documented.
Race results get posted. Championship standings get published. But the culture of the class, the personalities behind the hull numbers, the reasons sailors keep choosing the Melges 24 season after season, has never had a home. M24 was built to change that.
THE PLATFORM
M24 is a dedicated media brand built entirely around the Melges 24 class. It exists to grow the fleet's media presence, give the class a professional digital home base, and tell the stories that race results have never been able to tell.
The platform brings together original documentary content, a crew connection tool, a global regatta map, and a living media archive, all in one place built specifically for the Melges 24 community. Whether you have raced the class for twenty years or discovered it five minutes ago, M24 is built for you.
Wind Driven, the platform's flagship micro-documentary series, is the first production of its kind created specifically for the Melges 24 class. Each episode centers on one boat, one hull number, and the story of the sailors who race it. The series is produced by BruMedia and released on YouTube throughout the racing season.
ABOUT BRUMEDIA
BruMedia & Marketing is a Tampa Bay-based boutique media and marketing studio specializing in photography, videography, drone content, social media management, content creation, and brand strategy. Founded by Ane Reusser, BruMedia was built on the belief that every community has stories worth telling and that production quality is what determines whether those stories reach the audience they deserve.
BruMedia works with clients across industries, but its roots are in the water. Ane is an active sailor and a familiar face at regattas across Tampa Bay, which is exactly how the gap in Melges 24 media coverage became impossible to ignore.
M24 began as a question: why does one of the most exciting one-design classes in the world have almost no dedicated media presence? It grew into a platform, a documentary series, and a long-term commitment to giving the Melges 24 fleet the coverage it has always deserved. The project was developed through Ane's graduate studies in Strategic and Emerging Media at the University of Tampa, where the research behind the platform confirmed what the sailing community already knew: the stories were there. Someone just needed to show up and tell them.
